Visitor Bay Ticket

I have received a ticket on my vehicle when visiting a friends which has parking enforcement on their estate. It states the reason as “not displaying a valid permit”. The vehicle in question was parked in a visitor bay but displaying a valid permit for a specific space. My queries are 1) the permit is valid and this vague statement doesn’t specify what the detailed reason is, such as vehicle permit doesn’t match bay or no visitor permit on display etc 2) in their photographs there is no actual evidence showing the bay is a visitor space so how could they evidence it was incorrectly parked?

Based off both of the above I’m guessing this will be a strong enough case if CPM want to try and take me, the keeper of the vehicle to court?

Thanks

Yes I agree.  Appeal to make it look like you didn't ignore this (Judges don't like ignorers) and complain to the landowner/managing agents of course, first, as the NEWBIES thread tells everyone is always 'PLAN A'.  UKCPM clients can cancel PCNs if you ask quickly and robustly.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Nine times out of ten these tickets are scams, so consider complaining to your MP., it can cause the scammer extra costs, and in some cases, cancellation.

Parliament is well aware of the MO of these private parking companies, many of whom are former clampers, and on 15th March 2019 a Bill was enacted to curb the excesses of these shysters. Codes of Practice are being drawn up, an independent appeals service will be set up later this year,

Just as the clampers were finally closed down, so hopefully will many of these companies, persistent offenders denied access to the DVLA database and unable to operate.

Hopefully life will become impossible for the worst of these scammers, but until this is done you should still complain to your MP, citing the new legislation.
