John Lewis charging £60 delivery to NI

I always buy from John Lewis online for Tv's for their 5 year warranty.
However today, I selected a 43inch tv......went to basket to see a £60 delivery charge. I have never had to pay a delivery charge.

I am Limited Bradders1983 here in Northern Ireland.   Never been charged before from JL or I would have done the obvious voting with my feet/wheelchair.

Thank you Sheramber...... the IE site does not offer anything near the options as the uk site......I wish it did. I had already tried the uk site only to find out they do not deliver to NI.
  • Why not give Richer Sounds Belfast a call:
    https://www.richersounds.com/stores/belfast
and see what they have in stock.
If they don't have what you want, they might be able to arrange for it to be ordered in.

I am glad that has worked out well for you.

    N. Ireland is a beautiful place and in many cases property etc can be far cheaper than somewhere equally attractive in England. The trade off is that some commercial companies, JL in this case, do charge significantly more to deliver larger items in NI as it presumably costs them more. The same applies to many Scottish islands and the more remote parts of the Highlands.

Apart from the Royal Mail, who are legally obliged to charge a flat rate across the whole of the UK, any other delivery service can use whatever pricing structure they like.
