Thanks Beamer,
It was costly for them. I actually thought that I had about a 50/50 chance of success and I was satisfied with the outcome even though technically I did not win.
What I have never mentioned is that on the day that I received the PCN, I was going to a saleroom to bid on an auction lot that I needed to view beforehand as condition was paramount. I got the item for a very good price. It could though have been very expensivePlease note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

To be honest you suffer from being a sub forum on a much bigger site with lots of other subjects being discussed. This sub forum is not set up in a way that makes it easy to get messages over to new posters and you have little control over how it looks and works.I know all the reasons why not - but, really, this would work much better as a completely separate forum where you could design the layout and ensure the right messages go at the right time to new members.3
