My IKEA on line order was confirmed to be delivered by DPD tomorrow - Sunday 06 September.  I arrived home today (Saturday evening 05 September after 10 pm) to find a text (sender does not support replies and I had no internet access when away to use the link they gave - even if I had received the text) saying that my delivery would be today.
I used the tracking link (DpD) to find that DpD say my delivery had been made today (Saturday) received by me (name in full) there was a picture of a pair of feet at a door (definitely  not my door) and a parcel with unreadable label on it - wrong size of box for my type of delivery and the time the delivery was said to have been made

I cannot communicate directly or effectively with DpD and, unfortunately, when 'phoning IKEA there is usually a wait time of over 40 minutes.  Since DpD say they delivered and I received the parcel would I have no option but to wait till tomorrow and telephone IKEA to ask them to look into it for me? It does not seem to be possible to send a message to DpD or to IKEA on line.  I was hoping for delivery, as agreed, tomorrow and I have no way of knowing where my parcel is.
If there is a way of contacting DpD directly (their standard message on line says contact sender) or IKEA without another long wait on the telephone?  IKEA definitely confirmed that delivery would be tomorrow and I planned to be at home tomorrow to, as they said, receive a text from DpD about tomorrow's delivery time slot.
Thank you and hope someone can suggest something, please.

DPD will just tell you to contact who you bought the parcel from so no point in contacting DPD directly. I have tried before and they say that they won't look into anything as your contract is with who you bought the item from and their contract is also with IKEA.
40 minutes wait doesn't sound so bad if you want the issue resolving. I assume you will call literally as soon as the phone lines open?

Thanks very much sarah1972.  I was pleased to get through to IKEA Customer Services on the 'phone early this morning. Your reply was very helpful and I did not try to get through to DPD.

The person from IKEA was very understanding and said there were issues and they would look into it with DPD.  IKEA are sending my order again and it will come on 13 September.  The IKEA Customer Service staff member who took my call was really helpful.

    Many thanks again.
