Can anyone tell me whether TSB has sorted out its customer problem yet when people lost money due to computer upgrading.

Nobody lost any money as a result of the TSB IT issues. If anything, people made money from the copious compensation they got paid.
The problems have long been solved. This isn't to say there will never be any problems again, at TSB or any other bank.8 -
As above, the short answer is 'yes' but this subject gets debated in more detail, with a bit of unnecessary silliness thrown in, at https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6187125/is-tsb-a-reliable-bank-just-opened-a-current-account-plus-with-them/p1AllNancy said:Can anyone tell me whether TSB has sorted out its customer problem yet when people lost money due to computer upgrading.1 -
Many thanks for your replies. Now I have a bit of a puzzle as my sister's partner claims that it's still ongoing, he's waiting for compensation and arranged to see the bank manager who is only seeing one customer per day!! Sorry to bother you with this but I'm worried.Nancy 16 Membership No 147

If your sister's partner had raised a formal complaint with TSB, he'd by now have been able to take it to the Ombudsman if his complaint has not been processed to his satisfaction.
In any case, however, he has no reason to be concerned about losing any legally obtained funds up to £85,000 as a result of the TSB IT issues.0 -
It seems highly unlikely that any issues being experienced currently will have anything to do with the high profile problems of nearly two and a half years ago but to be honest that's completely moot anyway, i.e. it doesn't actually make any difference to your sister's partner whether there is any connection with the events of 2018 or not, all he needs to focus on is what's happening to him now and how to get them to sort it out. As above, following the published complaints process would seem more fruitful than waiting to see a branch manager - the concept of these being authority figures with the clout to make things happen is a bit outdated....AllNancy said:Many thanks for your replies. Now I have a bit of a puzzle as my sister's partner claims that it's still ongoing, he's waiting for compensation and arranged to see the bank manager who is only seeing one customer per day!! Thanks. I agree with your last sentence. What happened is that money 'disappeared,' due to the upgrade and he has been pursuing it since and expects compensation. Nothing apparently has happened apart from the bank manager. Perhaps I should mention that he is also a pathological liar hence my concern for my sister and hunt for the facts. Thanks for your help anyway.Nancy 16 Membership No 147

Funny you should say that. It did occur to me that it might just be a story he made up to hide the fact that he has spent it. Ihope your sister isn't in a financially abusive relationship - if she is, there is help: https://www.relate.org.uk/relationship-help/help-relationships/money-and-work/are-you-financially-abusive-relationshipAllNancy said:Perhaps I should mention that he is also a pathological liar4 -
I tbink you are right to have concerns as sounds like a load of rubbish, if and its a BIG if he had lost any money due to the IT fault this would not be getting dealt with at a branch level with the bank manager.AllNancy said:Thanks.
