Groupon/EDF voucher

In March I changed energy companies for myself and my mother to EDF. I took advantage of the GROUPON £70 voucher offered for new dual fuel customers. The paperwork was all Groupon livery but someone referred to as “Giftcloud” were administering the offer. The due date for payment (90days after changeover) came and went - no email as promised. I began contact with Giftcloud and hit every excuse for my not being entitled to the voucher. Contacted Groupon who claimed on numerous occasions that it was nothing to do with them!! Eventually got voucher for myself guess what - in a Groupon email!! Battled for my mother’s which after lengthier more reluctance she eventually received in a Groupon email!! Wondering if anyone else had this problem or can explain why Groupon denied responsibility. Mentioning now as they are repeating the offer at the moment!!
