Roof Verge Tile Repair?

Hi I am hoping someone can help me, last week I noticed the following damage to my property. It has been raining a lot recently so unsure if this was the cause of the damage?
My house is under 2 years old and I've rang 6/7 Roofers to come out for a quote but only 1 was interested in coming out out give a quote. He advised it would be £150 to repair or £270 to have something called Dry Verge Gable Cap Ends installed which will come with a 7 year warranty.
I'd rather go for the lower cost option but does £150 sound right? I am unsure as I've never had any roofing work ever done. No other part of the roof appears to be damaged on my detached property. There are no issues with access to the property.
Many thanks

If the house is only 2 years old shouldn't it be covered by the NHBC warranty?

As above, you could try and claim via your NHBC cover but it may be difficult to prove that this was down to poor work via the builder. It looks like someone has already been up there to install that white cabling for something and possibly may have cracked the flaunching in the process, or was that part of the original build? I'd want to get that looked at too as there seems to be a gaping hole in the mortar at the cable entry point.1

Yes I had someone install CCTV and they were meant to fill in the gap but said they had no filler and advised they would come back to complete it...of course they never returned...

That puts the problem in a whole different light. Damage done by a third party obviously wouldn't be covered by NHBC irrespective of the cost. As you can't get the people who did the damage to come back you have no option other than either try and fix it yourself or get the builder in. £150 doesn't sound excessive.SteveVy said:neilmcl said:As above, you could try and claim via your NHBC cover but it may be difficult to prove that this was down to poor work via the builder. Thanks everyone I have the repair booked in for first thing Monday morning0 -
My odd job man would charge £50 to go up a ladder with some mortar. Two hours work max (unless as said the tiles are damaged, but if so, replacing 2 -3 tiles is another 15 minutes providing he has them with him.But that's someone I use regularly. A 'proper' roofer will charge more, so £150 is not far off.1

Thanks the job was meant to be started this morning but the roofer didn't turn up...no answer to my calls or messages...
