Prepayment meters

Options
I have just moved into a council property where the above meters are fitted. I phoned up the energy provider and my old provider(who I had a direct debit with and they had to give me a rebate because I was in credit.) Both providers say they will not change the meters for 6months to check O can afford to set up direct debit. I have not had above meters for over 15 years! I also know it is cheaper to pay by direct debit Energy companies are taxing the poor😠

Switch your PPM to EDF, then ask for a credit meter switch. You need to be on supply first with the company you are asking to change the meter.
Once you have the credit meter, you can switch again as you wish.
