Two questions:
I have Sky Q box with Entertainment package and separate Netflix account. When the contract expires in few months time, I am planning to get Signature package with Netflix HD. Would the cost be reduced for Netflix account or stay the same as now as there are separate account?

At the moment, the admin is not myself but my friend. He redeems a voucher when I want to watch it. When I renew my Sky and Netflix account, I want to be the admin for Netflix with my own email. How do I cancel the cancel the current Netflix and make my own Netflix account in few months.
Thanks

if you want netflix as part of your sky contract it will be a new netflix account with your own email. (given that the current account isn't yours! If you use the email address of your friends you can convert that account into your sky netflix account if you want) The cost will be whatever offer sky have at the time. currently its £4 a month (which is cheaper than buying netflix on its own), the level of netflix plan that you get (i.e. basic, standard or premium) depends if you also have the HD (standard netflix) or ultra HD (premium netflix) packs on your sky subscription.

Given that you are now currently using your friends account, its up to your friend what they do with their account. They can keep it going and pay for it, or they can cancel/close it, and you could give them your username and password to use your netflix (and set up a user profile for them) You can easily cancel that account online through the netflix website.

    Hope that helps

Thanks for your reply. I want the current account of Netflix to cancel and put my own in with my email.

    What are the steps?

It seems you want the current Netflix account put in your name , but ( isn’t it the case)  it’s not your account in the first place , you are simply an authorised user on someone else’s account ?, how do they feel ( the person who currently pays Netflix) about you wanting to takeover their account ?
Even if the current Netflix account holder was happy for you to become the account holder and move to Sky Q ,  presumably the registered name and emails will be different for you than the current account holder , so it may not be possible anyway,
Why is it a problem to just become a Netflix customer via Sky Q now , in you own name , letting your friend either continue or not continue with Netflix as they see fit, apart from not being offered ‘continue watching’ or current recommendations, as you currently have them what’s the issue ?
Not sure about redeeming vouchers when you watch, I have 4 ‘names’ on my Netflix, they access Netflix from wherever they are, no vouchers
  • Yeah I'd say the simplest method if you're looking to set up your own account is just to simply sign up for one on the Netflix website. Beyond having to deal with Netflix knowing nothing of your previous viewing history and watchlist, you're going to be good to go.

That's the bit that confuses me too. This needs properly explaining by the OP. Is he talking about this? https://help.netflix.com/en/node/32950

    Logically the solution is:

    1. Create your own account
    2. Sign in to your devices using your new account
    3. Stop sending money to the other party for the other account.

I want the Netflix account made on his email deleted.

I want my own one with my email. The renewal contract with prices will let me know whether to continue to have a separate Netflix account or join with Sky. Does anyone know if it will be cheaper with Sky?

https://help.netflix.com/en/node/32950 - this applies to me.

    Thanks

Who is paying (to Netflix) for the account on his email? If you are only paying by redeeming gift cards/vouchers then, erm, stop buying them. Then follow the 123 I stated and set up a direct debit or continuous payment authority to pay monthly fr your new Netflix account. (Unless you need HD then the single user cheapest account will suffice).

As the other account is on his email then he will be the one who'll get chased for any outstanding debt on "his" account, and/or "his" account will be suspended. Your new account will be unaffected.

Netflix through Sky is likely to be a lot more expensive, unless you've signed up for an appropriate Sky TV package: https://helpforum.sky.com/t5/Sky-Q/Adding-netflix-to-sky-account/td-p/3219466

DoaM - Thanks. I'm not very techy person. Netflix charge £8.99 p/m for HD which I need (standard). I have entertainment package which will finish in few months.

So Netflix separate or with Sky would charge the same?

I thought it will be cheaper with Sky.

Would I have to get him to delete his account from my home?

Sorry but I have no experience with Sky so I cannot advise what to do with them. As to your other question - simply logout of the account on your devices and then login with your own new account?
