Malaysian Airlines- Changed tickets to open without my consent

Malaysian Airlines last month changed the status of my tickets to open which means we can rebook up to June next year. I hadn't requested any change to my flights which have now been cancelled and as such I should be entiltled to a full refund. Malaysian Airlines are refusing to acknowledge the error and saying I am not entitled to a refund! What can I do claim on insurance or through Credit Card?

Do you have the original booking proving this? Be a formality if so.

I have the original booking and emails back to Malaysian Airlines as soon as they changed the tickets to open that I did not request tickets to be amended.0
