Use my Landline only

I would like to only use my landline number but keep being asked for my mobile which is only used for emergencies.  How can this be done.  Thanks

is this to sign up for a website service?
Just put the landline number in, 9 times out of ten it's okay.
  • If it's only a number for marketing when signing up to a website then put whatever you want - your landline number, a made up one (eg. 07123456789) or leave it blank. If it's for security, such as 2FA for your bank, then I'd recommend using your actual mobile number if you can't use your landline (or better yet include both so you have backup options). The added security by using 2FA is well worth the hassle of having to get a security code sent to your phone every now and again.
