RBS £100 Switch Bonus

My primary Current Account is with Halifax, but I also have an account with Nationwide, which I opened exclusively to take advantage of the 5% interest rate offered earlier this year.

Can anyone comment on whether I would be eligible to switch the Nationwide account to an RBS Account and take advantage of the £100 Bonus? I have funds in the Nationwide account but don't use it to take any payments or process any bills, it's basically used as a Savings Account.

Only you can know whether you are eligible under the offer terms which have been posted in https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6186101/100-royal-bank-of-scotland-switch-offer

I've just switched to RBS to get the £100 and couldn't see any restrictions on which bank the account it was coming from. (The Halifax switch on the other hand can't come from Bank of Scotland).

I wouldn't advise switching your Nationwide unless your 5% offer has ended, but otherwise there's nothing to stop you switching to RBS. Just make sure you adhere to the T&Cs of the offer which are discussed in the thread @colsten has linked to.

Not true. As discussed in the Halifax switch offer thread.

Sorry if I got it wrong but I switched today as an existing customer and it definitely said I wouldn't be elligigle for the £100 if the account was from Bank of Scotland so the website is wrong? (I don't know where the Halifax switch offer thread is).

Switching a Bank of Scotland account to Halifax qualifies for the £100 as long as the account you switched in to was a brand new Reward or Ultimate Reward account.
It was not payable if you switched to an existing Halifax account. Is this possibly why you didn't qualify?

If you look on the Budgeting & Bank Accounts board, you should find it there.

Thanks I'm guessing it's this one: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6174285/possible-100-halifax-switch-offer-starting-4-8-20/p1 - Don't have time to read over 600 replies so I'll just take your word for it. Thanks you for the correction.

I was obviously struggling to read yesterday, as I just upgraded one of my existing current accounts to a reward current account and did an existing customer switch - facepalm. Perhaps that's where I got the erroneous Bank of Scotland thing from).
