Nice one OP ... editing your first post so that nobody in future has a hope in hell of understanding what the discussion was about. 🙄7

You're not a mechanic or mechanically inclined so you're not to know whether or not something is serious and usually when people hear the word rust to them it's akin to vehicle cancer.I pick it up tomorrow

Perhaps I’m being too generous but the OP was probably a bit over-eager to thank everyone and glad it’s sorted rather than being deliberately selfish I would say;...certainly I agree it’s a bit thoughtless to completely overwrite the thread starter and the Title. If everyone did that it would render the entire help forum into a virtually useless archive.

I'm really sorry guys I shouldn't have done removed the first post and title. I was just extremely embarrassed about having such a massive meltdown over some rust on the car that I bought before the MOT had been done, which in the end turned out to be nothing. I felt like I looked like a total plum and had another meltdown about that. I'm beyond grateful for the advice received as I do tend to worry myself into a state about anything mechanical/electrical etc.1

No worries and the good news is you've had it resolved and you are happy that is great news!
Sadly, too many said some nasty stuff here to you without waiting for you to respond.
You did not need to update anyone but you chose to and that is nice and kind of you and did not call
for the nasty posts.
Well done and I hope those posters have not put you off from posting honestly and updating and thank you again.
We are all under pressure at times and things do not pan out as expected but when they do , it is good to update as you have done.
