How do I deactivate on-line Banking

When I closed my MBNA credit card account, maybe 18 months ago, I was told that the online account would remain available for 12 months specifically so I could check my statements, and it did. That, of course, was a credit card, not a current account.I came into this world with nothing and I've got most of it left.0

Thanks everyone for your comments.
I requested the closure of my credit card account and the on-line banking account in writing, but I just got a "sorry to see you go" conformation letter in response. Probably someone in the data control department can delete on-line banking log in details but there's no way to request that. You can only talk to Customer Services and if the deletion function is not built into the software on their terminals then they can't do it.
I think it was more than 6 months between me disabling the on-line facility after closing my current accounts and the credit card moving over to Natwest's on-line banking system, so on-line log in details can lie dormant for quite some time, if not forever.
So I'll have to disable the log in by entering incorrect passwords and accept that. It's still an irritation though.
Thanks again. Grumpy Old Man.0 -
Update . . . I tried logging in with an incorrect password and PIN 10 times and it just keeps letting me try again - it doesn't lock me out. I've not had an email to say there's been suspicious log in attempts either. So I'll just have to leave it dormant. Maybe I'll try logging in again in 18 months just to test it (if I remember to).
It was December 2019 when I last used that card so the balance has been zero since January 2020. As there's no information to see when I log in now I can't view past statements - not that I want or need to as I kept a separate record on a spreadsheet.0 -
What's the issue if you aren't using account? Will simply lie dormant. The data isn't going to be deleted either.0
