The only negative on there is that I am not on the electoral roll. I have just moved house and gotten a new job (<1 month).
    That is a big negative.

  • Also Barclaycard don't use Experian to credit search you, they use Equifax so you may need to look at what data equifax have and see if its correct.
Time is a path from the past to the future and back again. The present is the crossroads of both.

All 3 of these will count against you, especially not being on the voters roll. Have you changed jobs and addresses many times in the past 3 years prior as this will also have a negative affect?

I advise getting on the voters roll NOW then waiting 3 months before applying again, try one of the subprime cards this time, based on my experiences I would say Vanquis are a good bet.

When I was about 6 months away from exiting my DMP in late 2016 I was looking for card to build up my credit rating in preparation for applying for a mortgage a year down the line (a bit naughty as you're not supposed to apply for credit when on a DMP but as I knew it would be paid off before my next Stepchange annual review I went for it anyway) , Vanquis accepted my application.

When I applied for my first credit card I had a similar experience being turned down - so I asked my own bank who had my account history and they immediately gave me one.
But a banker, engaged at enormous expense,
Had the whole of their cash in his care.

I've had 100% on the MSE Eligibility Checker and sill got refused, I'd take those numbers with a pinch of salt.
