Do you mean your photocard expires 6mo before your 70th?
That's different to your actual entitlement to drive expiring.
But, no, I wouldn't be rushing to replace the photocard... I'd wait that three months.1 -
Update from DVSA 1st September 2020
Photocard licences or entitlement to drive that expires between 1 February and 31 December 2020 have been extended for 11 months from the date of expiry
This previously ran until the end of August and has now been extended to end of December0 -
Never paid when I was 70, but you have to make a statement saying your in good health., eyesight etc.0
