UK CITIZEN REFUSED STUDENT LOAN BECAUSE LIVED ABROAD IN PAST THREE YEARS

How can it be that I am born in the uk but because I have been living abroad for the past three years I have been refused a student loan.

    As above, the loans are for people who’ve been resident here, not people who return.
    If you want a rationale for it, it’s to stop people coming over for four years, having the state pay for everything, and then leaving, never to be seen again, and never paying a penny back.
    Are you able to study in your country of residence instead?

    Ah, I’ve now read some of the OP’s previous posts. He’s an incredibly bright and successful person who despairs that he can’t find anyone intelligent enough to see the value of his business schemes, he’s been a successful landlord for over thirty years, yet for some reason despite his brilliance, and wealth, he had to do an OU degree as a mature student and now, six years later, needs to grub round for money to do another degree.

    OP, what went wrong? Are you still just too intelligent for those around you? If so, why the need for a loan?

    Because you have not paid any taxes to the HMRC for the last 3 years.
    So tell us why the British taxpayers should subsidize your education with other people's money?
