Believe me, it's the only solution.JustAnotherSaver said:Scrounger said:She needs to call CS on 0345 720 3040 and request a new card - I tried all other options, even chat, with no success.
ScroungerThanks. This sounds like it might be the answer.

Card renewals cannot be requested manually; there is no such option. Only lost or stolen cards can be requested online or through the app. Expired cards are renewed automatically by the system, unless they haven't been used enough, -in which case they won't be renewed at all, and they cease to exist. That's why you have to ring them up, or go into a branch, and request a brand new one.JustAnotherSaver said:Scrounger said:She needs to call CS on 0345 720 3040 and request a new card - I tried all other options, even chat, with no success.
ScroungerThanks. This sounds like it might be the answer. For those talking about auto renewal - i get your point. That doesn't address the fact that the option to MANUALLY renew has disappeared yet is still there for 2 of the other BoS accounts, 1 of which hasn't been used in years & certainly way less than the one she's asked about.0 -

Whilst you can see all BOS and Halifax accounts with either logins, you can't do everything- with your BOS accounts if you log in with your Halifax credentials, or
- with your Halifax accounts if you log in your BOS credentials
I'm not sure whether you're not understanding me, i'm not understanding you or a bit of both so i'll go step by step on what happened:* Log in on Halifax website using Halifax details* Opening account list page shows 2 Halifax current accounts & 3 BoS current accounts.* Of the account she now has no up-to-date debit card for, she clicks More Actions>Account Services>Scroll down to 'Admin' and select Request new card or PIN.* On the very next page (bearing in mind we're still on the Halifax website) there are a list of current accounts she can request a new card or PIN for. That list is....**both Halifax current accounts** 2 of the 3 BoS current accounts ... the missing one being the one she needs a card for.* Now if she goes back out and selects More Actions>Account Services for one of the 'showing' BoS accounts (thinking that maybe she can't order a card for the account she clicks 'More Actions' on) then this makes no difference. The account she has no up-to-date card for simply doesn't show.So you can request a BoS card by logging in with Halifax credentials. I could provide screenshots to prove this but i'm sure you believe me and we've just got crossed wires somewhere. I probably explained something poorly at some point - have a habit of that. It just seems you can't request the one she needs.0 -
I was going by what I can see in my account / with my logins. Clearly, you can see something different. May be it is to do with different account types?
Just to recap what I can see. I have 2 Halifax Reward and 1 BOS Vantage.
Logging in with Halifax login, I can see all those accounts but can only request cards for the 2 Halifax accounts
Logging in with BOS login, I can see all those accounts but can only request a card for the BOS account.1 -
There is a replacement card option in the respective apps too (but it is of little consequence when the required card does not appear in the list).colsten said:

Ok i think we can conclude from this that there is an option and there isn't an option. That you need to log in to Halifax for Halifax yet can also log in to BoS for Halifax as well and vice versa too. In addition, there is and also isn't an option in the app. She'll be getting on to the phone number supplied anyway.0

Ah yes, on checking, I can see that the option exists in the BOS app. Same as before - it shows all my Halifax and BOS accounts but I can only order a replacement card for the BOS account.Scrounger said:

I cannot see any option for ordering a card in the Halifax app - am I not looking in the right place? Correction: in the Halifax app, if I type "replacement card" into the search field, it does allow me to order a replacement card. But only for my Halifax accounts, not for my BOS one.0
