Halifax Purchase Alerts

Saw this feature in the app recently. Works similar to Monzo where the instant your card is used, you get a push notification confirming it. Good to spot if someone uses your hard fraudulently. Anyone use it?

It worked all day yesterday and got a notification within seconds of using my card. Today though they're 30 mins delayed or dont appear at all.

What kind of card are we talking about? Credit or Debit? FWIW, I have used Halifax debit cards yesterday and not got any message from Halifax about it.

Debit card but i assume it applies to all cards 

Its off by default. Its under settings - notifications on the app

Aaaah right. I haven't turned notifications on.  

Might be useful for those who use Halifax as a main account.

It's the same for Bank of Scotland and Lloyds current accounts needs enabling as @bobblebob says under settings (iOS not sure about Android)

Halifax (and Lloyds) notifications are hit and miss.  Sometimes you are lucky and they are immediate, other times they are delayed.  I've found the delay can be anything up to several hours, so 30 minutes isn't too bad.

I think I read somewhere that HSBC have this on iOS too.

Not on my android app though.
