    The exact same thing happened to me. I rang up to ask where the ashes were and the receptionist quickly passed me onto the owner of the practice who had to deliver the bad news. I was distraught and crying on the phone to him - he refunded me immediately for the cremation and apologised profusely about the admin error.  I didn't expect them to do anything else, what more could they have done?
