Opticians service plan

hello all
i have a service plan with my opticians which entitles me to contact lens check ups to make sure the condition of my contact lenses is ok and also to eye checks. The opticians is only seeing those patients with problems. So my contact lens check up was by phone and she simply asked me a few questions. There was no eye test and no check of the condition of the contact lenses. I am still paying the same amount per month for this very reduced service. Has anyone else had a reduction in the amount they pay on their service plan ? Any other thoughts from anyone ? 
I have decided to cancel the plan as I seem to be getting nothing beyond a 10 minute phone call.
