General advice, including from the NHS, is that softened water is safe to drink for most people. The sodium gained from one glass of softened water is around 1% of the recommended daily limit. There are also views that drinking softened then reverse osmosis filtered water removes some essential minerals as well as the sodium. So the choice is between keeping your drinking water separate and having a quooker filter if necessary or putting up with the small sodium intake in softened water or the lack of minerals in RO filtered water.EnPointe said:
