before i start this is a old situation which has been solved
cut a long story short last year my parents house (part) was under my name, sold up spare funds returned to me, i then write my parents a cheque out for the funds to be exchanged
then fund are cleared at there side but still sitting in my acc, this went on for week after week, again confirmed the cheque had cleared at there side and the funds still sitting in my acc (lloyds)
after about 5 weeks i called them up, they knew nothing about it, and then overnight the cheque had cleared lol, no way i would ever consider fraud
but what would have happened if i just didnt say anything (can sleep well at night), btw the sum was in the tens of thousands

They could have pursued you for 6 years for the funds - you would not have stood much chance in court if they produced the cheque as evidence.0
