Any advice on what to do would be great!
i originally booked a hen do for 10ladies at a campsite in March obviously couldn’t attend due to COVID-19. Spoke to the place wouldn’t offer a refund had to claim through insurance (which I didn’t have) or change the date. So I changed the date to the last eat possible time 2nd October. But with having 10 ladies all from different households staying in a tent together we don’t feel comfortable staying now. However the campsite still won’t refund us! What should I do?

Presumably the tent (hope it's a big one) is still available.  The fact that you are 'disinclined' to take up the accommodation means it's entirely up to you.  No refund due if you have no insurance.  Not even sure if you would get a refund WITH insurance. Possibly only 10% of the cost......

  • If there is nothing preventing you travelling there by 2nd October and the campsite is open there isn't a lot you can do to enforce anything.    You will have to work out amongst yourselves how you can manage it (book a second tent maybe?)   If things remain the same the campsite might just let you postpone again out of goodwill but that is very much dependent on them.   Sorry as I know how disappointing it is but perhaps by October there will be more relaxation?.  If it goes the other way and all cancelled then you can request a refund.   Nobody really knows but as it stands now, you will not be able to get a refund or insist you rebook.

Are you talking much money at stake here?  Just thinking a tent in March (now October) for ten people in the U.K. will hopefully not be a great loss you no longer wish to travel.
There won’t always be winners with this Cv19 pandemic disruption. Some people will lose financially. Not all items will be refundable.
