We’ve just had our inbound flight from Florence cancelled in October, how will we stand accommodation wise as we didn’t book a package deal,I’m reluctant to spend more money trying to book a different flight home now with all the Covid, does anyone have and advice?

If you booked everything separately the hotel wont care one jot that a flight has been cancelled so you are still tied into their usual terms.
Vice versa, the airline wouldnt care one bit if your hotel was cancelled.0 -
If your flights were booked together on the same reservation then you are entitled to a refund of both outbound and inbound.
As the above poster says, hotel will depend on the T&C's you agreed to at the time of booking.0
