Driving without due care and attention

Magistrate court hearing for driving without due care and attention

need advice

it was my fault as I was driving automatic car 3 mph out of my car park behind block I live in wearing a rocker orthopaedic support boot on right foot as support
I had hairline fractures in 2 toes but was not given any medical advice to wear boot . My foot slipped onto accelerator and my car collided into a stationary parked mini clubman located 2 metres distance under a suspended disabled bay signage . Unfortunately elderly man was bent over placing shopping into offside passenger front seat and was pushed back onto pavement from impact of my car causing parked vehicle to jump up .

i will plead guilty but no previous points convictions been driving 40 years .
Been advised to use good criminal solicitors who will charge me £2000 to take this case on as they feel they maybe be able to get the case dropped or at least 6-9 points on licence with a fine . Third party have embellished witness statement stating I stood over the third party while he lay on pavement after hitting his head hearing me shout over him “ why was I laying on pavement and did not ask whether I could do anything for him !”

Witness also commented I must be on a drug or had mental health issues !

with these type of statements and I had no witness to back me up only photos I took of the third party on pavement standing behind a nephew of his leaning over him “ why would I shout at the poor man lying on the pavement ?”

I am thinking of using a local firm of solicitors near magistrate court Bexley Heath who will charge me £150 zoom consultation to read court papers witness photos evidence and read my mitigating circumstances photos of accident scene including third party on pavement .

They will use a Barrister from 3 Temple chambers costing me £650 to represent me at court .

Should I use this Local firm charging £650 plus £150 or use Janes Solicitors Robert Berg a leading criminal solicitor who knows me to deal with this ?

i have been through 3 major orthopaedic surgeries leaving me disabled walking with a stick and need a car to mobilise .

both cars were written off

I should never driven with that boot on and it will serve me right for future driving but my main concern is receiving 9 points which will cause major problems getting insured .

and a possible suspension for driving .

I did not do this on purpose but third party witness is clearly out to skin me alive

the mental health+medication should be easy to see off, however the inappropriate footwear will not be so easy .
if your footwear or clothing causes you to no have full control of the vehicle that is that
if you search google "driving in inappropriate footwear" you will have a good idea on what to expect, allot of that will  show results for driving in flip flops or even barefoot (?)
as above post on pepipoo criminal forum
