Delay in validated final meter reading

hi, wondering whether anyone else has had a 17 wait for their final electricity bill after switching? I switched from EDF to EON on 5th May and still haven’t had my final bill. Very little help from EON too

Get on to EDF and remind them of their duty to provide a final bill within 6 weeks.

Assuming your switch went through, you're entitled to £30 automatic compensation from EDF.
  • Thanks for replies. EDF say it’s up to EON, EON seem to think it’s all ok because of Covid meaning their services weren’t operating fully. EDF have actually contacted me ages ago saying they’re crediting my account with £30, but I still don’t have a final bill, which will be in credit! It’s a totally frustrating series of poor service.

The only reason that it could be EON's fault ,is if they hadn't passed the opening read you gave them on for verification. Are EDF saying that they haven't received a verified final read??
  • EDF are saying they haven’t received final reading. EON are saying very little

Raise an official complaint with Eon and take it to the ombudsman if not resolved within the 8 week timescale.
