Is it legal to put no parking stickers on cars?

I know this has been asked before by people who have had these put on their car but this is the other way round.
My club owns a building in Wales, reached by a short, single track road owned by the National Trust.
Immediately outside our building, at the side of the track, is a small car park owned by us, on our land, for people who stay in the building. (Just like you might have a driveway outside your house).
There are signs saying it is a private car park and that only authorised cars are allowed to park there.
However we are starting to get lots of tourists coming up the track and parking there as the public car parks a mile or so away get full.
We want to do something about it and are considering putting sticky paper notices on their windscreens or side windows telling them that it is a private car park, on private land and they must not park there.
Is this legal to do?
Are the drivers of those cars trespassing once they move off the NT track onto our land?

With NT visitors, there will be a continuous stream of different malefactors, rather than the same person repeatedly who might learn from a sticker. A chain and combination lock with 'call for code' might be more effective.
But a banker, engaged at enormous expense,Had the whole of their cash in his care.

Once they get to know there is a place they can park free near this mountain, word will get around.
I was hoping that the existence of a sticker on the first car might deter the second driver trying to park there.0 -

It did occur to me to put up signs saying 'Unauthorised cars parked here will be damaged' !
And a friend suggested we say 'Unauthorised cars parked here will be considered as a gift to the club, thank you for your contribution'1 -
a gate, or other such barrier would put an immediate stop to this, where is this club/car park ( google maps link)?A private parking company will not magically stop people parking ,as their business model relies on people breaking the so called parking rules. From the Plain Language Commission:

Not sure what the reference to a private parking company means, we're not a private parking company, just don't like people parking on what is effectively part of our garden.
I'm obviously not going to upload a google link to the location. I'm trying to stop people parking there, not advertise it!0 -

Buy a wheel clamp (the brightest colour you can find, so it's obviously visible), place one of your vehicles near the entrance with the clamp attached and a sign to the effect that it is private property and trespassers' vehicles parked there will be clamped. Release fee £200.Placing the clamp on your own vehicle and erecting the sign is perfectly legal. What is illegal is the application of the clamp to anyone else's vehicle. But the vast majority of the public don't realise that the Protection of Freedoms Act 2012 made clamping illegal (other than by statutory authorities), and won't take the risk of chancing it!
It may not be the perfect cure, but it could help to dramatically reduce the numbers. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

The reference to a private parking company means that if you allow one to operate it will not stop people parking there, plus you can end up with more issues than you solve - especially when the PPC goes after genuine users. The request for a maps link is that it would help if you need advice, some of us have dealt with keeping unwanted parkers out of a particular bit of land/car park without resorting to a third party (PPC)Are we talking about a lay-by situation? a chain or a fence would work in some situations like that, however with knowing where the site is, or what it even looks like, its impossible to give advice on how to improve the situation.if your concerned about advertising the site, then form what i can gather people are already parking there anyway, unfortunately this place ( forum) isnt where people go to to look for cheap places to park - you need somewhere like parkopedia for thatFrom the Plain Language Commission:

if the spaces are properly marked, then lock posts with a common key would work for all members.0
