Hi Guys
Hopefully you can help. I have been having a problme getting a credit card and remortgageing
I have applied for a remortgage recently with Nationwide (via London & Country) and was refused on my credit rating. I send off for my experian report, and my girlfriends. They have came back and I seem to have a good credit rating, I sent them to London & County and their underwriters agreed that that there was not a problem with it.
So we then applied for a remortgage with Abbey, and they also declined. London and Country called Abbey and explained that they have my expreian report and it looks fine. to cut a long story short Abbey have said that somebody in my family (who I do not live with) has really bad credit and it is effecting my rating! Abbey's underwriters have now offered me a mortgage as they are happy with my rating.
However, I am still having problems getting a credit card, how do I get round this? Thanks in advanced
