P800 Refund timescale

Hi guys
I started this because like a lot of people I got a p800 refund letter from HMRC, as this was a standard refund it just said it would take up to 5 working days.
I did the online form last Thursday and today 1st Sep I checked the progress as a lot of people have been having delays. It says that HMRC paid the amount on 1st Sep (today). Does that mean they paid it into my account today and it will be visible at some point, or they have just started the payment process which will take 3-5 working days?
Just a but confused when they money will arrive, it seems if they are saying they paid me today, surely I should have the money today or I technically haven't been paid today.
Anyone had a similar story?

Naturally you won't receive the money in your bank on the same day it was paid. It will take between 3-5 working days for it to go into your bank, depending on who you bank with.
