Morning all
Sunny here but with a nip in the air again, I have a wash on the go and will hang it out it should dry well today.
OH did not fancy the bikes yesterday so dd came with me and we did 17 miles with a quick pit stop at the pub for a beer, came home, showered then lay on the bed for an hour, then got up and bbq'd it was a really lovely day, hopefully we can do something nice today as well as OH is back to work tomorrow.
Not sure about dinner tonight but there is some mince to use so may do a nice chilli as it does tend to get cooler in the evenings. Pups will need a walk later too.
Happy Birthday to DP1 x
Hope you all have good days all xx12 -

Morning all! I did make the bramble jelly yesterday, I also made two litre jars of passatta [or sugo as we call it] with some of the tomatoes that are going over. In the process I snapped one side of the handle that's attached to the mouli, so I'll be asking on the mutual aid group is anyone can spot weld it back on. I also passed the tme when smooshing the tomatoes skins and seeds singing along to Rammstein in the kitchen, why I have I never put the echo thing in the kitchen before? Made it a much more pleasurable experience... Got a bargain with some seasoned wood on FB so will be off to load my boot up later on, and definitely going to the reclaim place this morning to see what wood they have. Seems cheaper than wickes or any other big company but we'll see. And they deliver, woop.Had a long chat with friend in Spain last night, we've been just missing each other for weeks, so we managed it at the same time last night. She says cases there are going up quite a lot and there is confusion about schools reopening etc. We have made a date for the next chat..:)So nothing exciting happening today, I may go and pick some elderberries, I do like to experiment even if the experiment turns out to be a bit disappointing, as it the case when I made hedgerow syrup, which was basically a lot of haws...That's one experiment never to be repeated. It's beautifully sunny out there today but still a bit brrrr...Winter is most defnintely coming...Have a great day dp1. I expect if you were happy, it wouldn't have bothered you so much. Are you running though might have beens in your head? Gers, I've been doing a film weekend too, we've actually sat and watched two together in between OH playing COD, although I think he's getting bored of that now..Happy belated birthday Rosy! Maybe something nice this week? Nanny, I hope your loins are girded! Good luck with whirling dervishes descending...Hey all reading along, hope you're as good as it gets, thrilling Tuesday to you all!Non me fac calcitrare tuum culi11

Long post full of fascinating information, scintillating wit and astute observations on life (ahem) vanished so I'll just say happy birthday to dp1 and belatedly to RosyRedI was jumping to conclusions and one of them jumped back11

Back to wish dp1 a Happy Birthday. Have a lovely day.
ROSYRED I am envious of your release, we are still in the local lockdown and I can't honestly see things changing this week either. We are in a small village on top of a hill yet we are getting parcelled up with the highly populated city areas miles away. It's not fair, says she stamping her feet in a sulk!
Well I managed my bus trip into town and came back with the new phone I had set off for. In fact it's a NEW new phone, not a new to me phone as I intended! It's a Samsung Galaxy as per my old phone but a much newer model with a bigger screen. I am now bumbling along trying to learn how to set it up and use it! I am not very tech savvy but I won't be beaten into submission by a phone!
This morning was beautiful and really warm but the clouds are now rolling over and it feels much cooler now. Take care all xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"8 -
Happy Birthday to DP1 - hope you can eat cake until the cows come home!

Good Afternoon all.
Happy Birthday DP1, I hope it is a good one.
Lovely day here so I have been sorting out mount washmore and it is all out on the line, hopefully it will dry because there is hardly any wind.
Apart from that I haven't done much today, I defrosted the freezer and did loads of batch cooking last week because as some of you know I am having an op on the 17th and will be in a sling for at least a month.
I won't hold my breath though, it has already been cancelled three times!
I have been waiting for a month for an MRI scan on my pancreas and to see the Gastro consultant as well, plus all other appointments with respiratory consultant, orthopedic consultant and the glaucoma clinic have been cancelled because of COVID, it is so frustrating!
I am just going to pick some more salad, runner beans and strawberries we have had a good crop of stuff from the garden this year and a lot is happily sitting in the freezerBlessed are the cracked for they are the ones that let in the light

Thank you everyone for my birthday wishes - yes I had lovely chocolate cake and have another slice sitting for later. It was nice to spend some time with my brother, usually one of us is working on our birthday. my mam kept saying how she couldn't believe she had 53 year old twins!
Monnagran - thank you for your words of wisdom. You're right - I've been getting myself stressed about something in the past I can do nothing at all about now. I've had too much time to think lately - I need to get back to work!
Well, I'm going to make some tea - though I'm not really too hungry - might just be a fish finger sandwich!
Someone yesterday mentioned Our Yorkshire Farm - I absolutely love this programme - they seem to have a lovely life together. The last episode with the little 4 year old delivering her first lamb was lovely.6
