Propably burned bulb takes out electrics. Quesiton.

Hello. Today first time something tripped  2breakers  in my house. I mean i was sitting on Windows 10 desktop ,like always and i hear BUM from fuse box. And power go down and lights goes off. Pc turned off.
I have that pc almost 1 year and something like that never happened. I think there was not circuit overload, because all devices was off, like tv,washer etc. Only pc was on. And nothing get damaged. Anybody have clue why it happened?

To turn back power again i change breaker to up of course. And its fine again.

PC:
Aorus AD27QD
AORUS PRO Z390-PRO GAMING
Aorus 2080 Ti waterforce stock
2x16GB DDR4 GSKILL XMP
9700K STOCK
Seasonic TX-750W TITANIUM PLUS PRIME

Never happened with that pc in whole year. Also pc is stable during full load etc.
Today i just browsing internet and power and lightning goes down. 1 breaker for power in wallsockets went down, and second breaker for lights went down. So i swap up breakers and power and lighting back.
Pc working like before again. Weird any clues?

Then.......i go to bathroom and saw that one of 3 halogen bulbs no lightning. So it get burned. So that was propably that halogen bulb? Or pc? But now its fine and working again and no issues.

The halogen lamp failing has likely taken out the lighting circuit breaker. Dont know what has tripped the ring circuit breaker, perhaps guilt by association.

Did the main breaker go off or just those two specific ones?

  • and what sort of breaker tripped?
Could be a miniature circuit breaker (MCB) or a Residual Current Device (RCD) -or a combined device of the two. The first trips because of overload, the second because of a fault current to Earth.
An earth fault can trip the second without the first; an overload (such as a blowing bulb) can trip both at once.
Common earth current faults can be moisture causing a path to earth (you mention bathroom!).

Suggest if removal/replacement of the hologen bulb shows up with no tripping then that is the likely cause.
If you still get a trip action really depends upon which trip or trips actually trip.
Note that equipment does not need to be switched on for some trips to occur. Simply being plugged in can be enough especially for the RCD to trip so to isolate the problem best unplug devices.
If you get an unknown reason reapeatedly like you initially describe best call in a qualified electrician or (if a tennent) get the landlord/agent to do so.
  • yes two small tripped breakers near each other. One for lights in house, second for power in wall sockets.
Why i lose a power circuit too when a bulb blowed on a lighting circuit?

RCD ( that biggest on left ) not tripped.
  • Just why power in wallsockets go out and lights at the same time? its as expected?

As oh_really suggested, it could be guilt-by-association (i.e. the wall sockets are tripping because it's next to the lighting circuit). It could also be the lighting circuit tripping could be pushing a power surge through the main breaker and the wall sockets are tripping "just in case".

If you're worried about it, get an electrician in (make sure they're registered).

  • So maybe it was ELCB tripped? I ask because lights and power socket walls was tripped at the same time.
  • Elcb=RCD.
You say that had not tripped.
Could you be confused as to which sort is which?
Can you post a close up picture of the breakers and indicate which had actually tripped?
