Texaco points card untrustworthy staff

Went to texaco months ago and handed my card over to collect my points and the till operator told me I was to late and I should have handed it to him before I paid as now I’ve lost the points. Thought it was strange because they normally process the payment and then swipe the card but thought ok next time will hand it over before I pay. Went today and it was the same operator. Spent £70 on fuel and handed over my card before I paid to receive the points. He said nothing and handed me a receipt and my card back. Now normally you receive your points receipt and if you want a vat receipt You have to ask for it and they give you both. Well he just gave me a vat receipt and no receipt for my points. I didn’t realise until I got home when I thought I would check my points because frankly I don’t trust the bloke. I’ve checked my points card online and the transaction doesn’t exist. Says the card was last used last month. Now I’m wondering if the bloke is picking up any uncollected points and maybe swiping his card through for big fill ups. I know the value isn’t a lot but it’s taken me 4-5 years filling up my work van and car to collect £50 in points, but what is the point if an untrustworthy employee is thiefing customers points. I don’t know how long it takes for the texaco website to update the transaction history but I’m sure the points won’t appear. What would everyone else do in this situation?

Isn’t there normally a camera or something on the tills to stop staff stealing?

I presume they have a customer service for missed points where they can add them retrospectively with evidence of a receipt/purchase?
