Marbles card

Hello all,
I applied for a marbles card approx 3 weeks ago via totally money (needed to do a balance transfer and didn’t have many other options.) checked all my details etc and was accepted. I had an email to register for my online account and tried to do this numerous times without success therefore called the phone number. 

When I phoned Marbles customer service they said the address they had on system wasn’t the address I gave them on the phone. Turns out the addres they had was my previous address from nearly 3 years ago (again not sure how this happened as I’ve checked totally money and everything is up to date) because the address no longer exists and I cannot get access to the property the customer service advisor said she’d close my account and that I’d need to reapply from the 1st September. Nothing else could’ve been done. 

Has anyone else had this issue? And will it show up as a search on my credit report? So far I’ve seen nothing and have had no correspondence from marbles to say my account was closed.

What address did you type in on the application?
To close an account they must have had an open account? If so won't you have to wait (6 months?) before you can apply again despite what you have been told?

I used my current address, however it did ask for my previous address as well.. which makes me wonder if there’s been a mix up. The customer service team asked if I had access to the old address and I said no therefore they advised the account would have to be closed. (The account was only opened the week previously when I applied)

You might have entered your addresses the wrong way around. I can't think how they'd choose to send your card to your old address if you've correctly provided them with your current address.
