Right to buy sheltered housing

I have lived in my sheltered housing 1 bedroom flat for 5 years as secured tenant. Do i have right to buy? If not, can a solicitor helps? Thank you in advance

Have you looked on the website of whoever it is you rent from? As the RTB information will be detailed there and what exclusions there are.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.1

The legislation says that housing that is particularly suited to older people can be exempt from right to buy. I would imagine sheltered housing falls squarely into that category, so if the council are excluding it on that basis that is fair enough. After all there is little enough to go round already without selling it off at a discount amd taking it out of the LA/HA portfolio.All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

Sheltered housing, ground floor flats and bungalows cannot be bought via RTB in my local council. I am assuming it would be the same everywhere.0
