Where can I buy garden sleepers that can be cut to size in a store? I only need two to edge my garden but has to be a certain length. I don’t want to order it online as I want to avoid paying a delivery charge.
Thanks in advance

Any decent timber merchant should be able to cut sleepers to length - They may charge for the privilege, and if you are unable to collect, they will most certainly charge for delivery.MrsKaykay said: Where can I buy garden sleepers that can be cut to size in a store? Any language construct that forces such insanity in this case should be abandoned without regrets. –

I seem to remember that B&Q used to cut timber to size but I can't find any mention of it on their website. If there's one near you, you could call in and ask.0

Most stores (or at least, the ones local to me) have a saw. But these are only used for cutting sheet material like plywood or MDF.JohnB47 said: I seem to remember that B&Q used to cut timber to size

Timber merchant is the way to go on this. They have the tools to cut large timber, DIY 'sheds' generally don't.

On another note, in house timber saws are only able to cut to a certain depth or less, you might find that a sleeper is too thick to be cut0
