Insurance of landlord possessions left at property (not accessed by tenants)

Are you still able to use an AST contract if you retain some access?0

Have you considered how often you need access? Our current rental the landlord kept one of two garages for storage which was pointed out to us before we rented but we didn’t discuss the expected amount of access. They come about once a month and I find it quite annoying and if we weren’t just about to buy somewhere I’d probably move anyway. I know it doesn’t sound like a big deal but they have to go through our garden and it feels like a frequent reminder it’s not really our home and like we’re being checked up on.I know I could just tell them they can’t access it but don’t want to sour the relationship. In conclusion, don’t leave stuff unless you won’t need it that often or you might end up with a higher turnover of tenants.1
