Thanks TA. I just don't understand the mentality of some people and they make me mad
. And then what about the 3000 ravers near Neath too, gives the whole of Wales a bad name. Hope they catch the organisers, lock them up and throw away the key. Sorry for the rant.
nan ( I'm off to cool down now )Failure is simply the opportunity to begin again, but this time more intelligently13 -
Morning all
No sun hereand its quite cool too !! I have a wash on the go which should dry well today. We ended up doing 19 miles on the bikes yesterday which felt really good I want to try and get out again today as it does help your joints etc stay supple.
Will try and bbq later its just been too cold this weekend to have one I have some chops and salmon pieces to cook, I may do kebabs with the salmon and do some kind of marinade for them.
The house needs a quick swipe through but its not too bad and then the day is ours.
Have good days all xx12 -
Morning all! I did have plans to go out today until I remembered it was a bank holiday, what a damp squib of a day....Sun is shining though and the wm is on so I'll hang that out later.I got the belly pork out of the freezer Saturday night and actually managed to cook it so it's both crispy on top and soft, this is a first and I am going to crow about it, because the last few times, it's either been hard and flabby, or burnt to a third of it's size. There's some of that left for tonight with cabbage, mustard mash and broccoli [I made double so I'd only have to heat through]. I have made the bramble liquid and thrown in sugar, and I'll make the jelly today. Unfortunately I spied a crab apple tree and numerous elderberry trees with ripe fruit so I may have to make something else this year Probably elderberry syrup, because what's the harm? If it vitamin C's us up, all to the good . The beans are still going strong so picallili is still on the cards.Socially distanced visiting done yesterday but we gave up after an hour and a bit because even with blankies it was too damn cold when the sun disappeared behind clouds. We are supposed to be having our week off together next week but it looks like we can't really go anywhere, because we can't get into the same car, we'd each need to drive seperately, none of us are happy to eat inside so bang go lunches and all in all this will only be a year to remember for all the wrong reasons. Ah well, what can happen next year? [ It was rhetorical, don't answer that just in case aliens invade, an asteroid hits us, a supervolcano blows...]Congratulations ME...Nanny, I see you have all the sloth of a worker bee....now who is the one who can't slow down? Glad neither of you were electrocuted though, that would have been bad...Ruby, I'm glad your joints are supple...does that sound weird?
bella, hooray for no more driving. Monna, you and I seem to have the same problem, a surfeit of objects with nowhere to go...Gers, I think that's called re-gifting
good luck decluttering Nelski...Hester, I wonder whether a nice warm house might not be better in the winter? Hey all reading along, hope you've girded your loins for Meh! Monday...

Nelski, we love Our Yorkshire Farm - the new All Creatures Great and Small starts tomorrow on Channel 5. It was filmed at Grassington which isn't far from our Yorkshire house so I'll definitely be watching that.
Laura and Brian will be catching a ferry from Oban to Barra soon, I hope they have a calm journey because Laura gets seasick. I hope Esben doesn't, it seems to run in Steve's side of the family. Laura said the Rest and be Thankful was still closed Gers so they had a long journey to the friends they stayed with at the weekend. Talking of All Creatures, the friend is a granddaughter of James Herriot.
I'm still feeling very tired which is ridiculous as I'm doing very little. I did some more washing and made dinner (Lancashire Hotpot) yesterday and that was about it. Steve is golfing this afternoon so maybe I'll do a bit of sewing.10
