Student Finance Changed Payment Date and did not notify

My daughter has just found out Student Finance have changed the date of the Maintenance payment by over 6 weeks and not informed her, they have rent to pay, etc as although the uni is starting later they had to pay upfront for the accommodation and now have rent to pay still, the Uni is not being very helpful anyone know what she can do?

Goodness, that will effect a lot of students.
Finance rules usually mean that students need to register at the start of the term before finance will release the loans.
Can anyone in the student union help? The university needs to understand the impact this will have and find a way of registering the students at the start of term.

Thanks @silvercar but the university's answer was "they shouldn't be relying on student finance to pay their bills"!!  They don't seem to care

Stupid statement of the year! How many students do they think they would attract without any student finance. I would call back and speak to someone else. You can't be the only one effected, is there a student chat group or social media group? This must effect so many students at that university. Try the student union, they are probably more tuned in to student finance.
