Student household bills

My daughter is moving into a student house this year, she has mentioned packaged bill companies, does anyone have any experience of this?

Companies that charge you a premium to manage your bills for you? More sensible for each student to take responsibility for a bill and have a spreadsheet of who owes who what.

Anybody had any experience with Uni homes bills - they are quadrupling bills from April. Despite the wording on the website giving assurances that the weekly cost is fixed for 12 months. Any advice appreciated - Thanks in advance

"You have the assurance that your weekly cost is fixed throughout the length of your utility contract. Your weekly cost has been planned based on the full 12 months including the summer and winter months, meaning that your monthly utility payments won’t go up and down depending on your usage. This way, you can easily budget for your utility payments alongside other outgoings. Only in the instance of a change in your group size may your weekly cost be amended to reflect your new group size."
