HI Can some help me as I work via the above at work but it seems my pc slow down or freezes if left idle for even a few minutes or the pc shuts down by itself 
or get the message not responding close app  thus I have to restart the pc and thus lose minutes of my work as on time management at present 
the apps I use are email excel and word and pdf 

Any help to why would be grateful as IT is looking into it but I am now losing the will to live

can I ask if I where to use out as have office 365 installed would that help

My first thoughts are:
Are you working through a Citrix session? 
Are you using the Cloud based apps or apps on your own machine. 
How good is your Internet connection?
Are the files you access on your company's servers or hosted on a commercial cloud system? 
Does your PC freeze/shutdown doing other things or only when accessing work items in the cloud?  

IT are the best to look at this as they know how the system is tied together and can trace through it
