I disputed an account on my Equifax file that had been re-added after it had dropped off after the 6 year default period. Equifax added a notice of dispute message to my credit file supposedly warning possible future creditors that my file is not correct due to a dispute. The disputed account has now been removed but this dispute message is still there, when will this be removed?
The disputed account was never added to my Experian and TransUnion files.

You need to ask them to remove the NoC.1

Equifax are a pain. They added an NOC to my account even though there was no ongoing dispute. I sent proof which they accepted but they left an NOC on well after my account was updated. TransUnion didn't add any NOC for exact same correction.
Phone them to get it sorted. Alternatively, submit a complaint online to get it resolved. Submitting it as a standard case on their online system can take months.0
