Notice & zero hour contract

Options
Hi everyone!
Asking for a friend of mine who is looking to leave her current job.
She was originally hired under a team member role, this contract has 2 weeks notice which she signed.
She then was offered a team leader contract last year. Position and pay agreed over WhatsApp. But never signed the contract when she received it. (Nor did they chase her up for it) this is also 2 weeks notice.

Both contracts are zero hour. She’s looking to put her notice in Monday and her rota hasn’t been written for September yet. Legally is she required to work the notice? Can she turn down shifts since she’s zero hour? Usually she works on average a 30 hr week.

Any advice for her would be appreciated!

What did the unsigned contract say about any requirement to accept hours offered?
If it was really a zero hours contract then simply hand in notice and refuse any hours offered.

what does the contract say about availability and accepting hours.

No need to resign(you can work other places) tell current employer your new availability, do  any hours already agreed start  the new job.

probably best not to burn bridges if the employer is generally good you never know if circumstances will change that you want/need their offers of work.from them again
