Cool and overcast Chez Nous. Back from travels, minus a car (expensive breakdown!) but plus a gorgeous new granddaughter, our first. Lots of cuddles whilst new mum and dad got some sleep.Back home the garden has grown and got soggy. Holiday washing has to wait until it can line dry. Coffee is brilliant in new stove top espresso maker. Mmm another one before lunch. Not been on here as no internet connection where we were. Missed the daily catch up10

Evening all,
It's been overcast all day, thankfully no rain, so was out to inspect my dahlias......they are lovely. It's the first year in ages that they are blooming well, they remind me of my late mother in law, she was a great gardener, although FIL was in charge of the strawberries and allowed nobody else near them!
TA.....I understand how you feel about lockdown, we are the only county still locked down......most of my social life takes place in Wicklow......library, knitting, friends etc., So I am feeling very isolated......keep telling myself that it will pass......hope I'm right!
M.E. congratulations on the new granddaughter.....I am lucky enough that seven of my nine grandchildren are girls.,...the five year old twins have started school and love it.....their four year old sister is back in crèche and not so happy that she is on her own, she is a sociable little thing so I'm sure that will pass.
DD 1 has done the grocery shopping and there is a chicken roasting in the oven......just what i fancy for dinner, am starting to feel hungry
Bella....thinking of you and your mother.
I can take or leave olives, OH likes them so there are always some in the fridge.
Enjoy your long weekend......we have none now until last Monday in October, by which time I hope to be back to myself..
Stay safe and warm
