Recommendations for mailing bags/bubble wrap etc

Options
I have nearly exhausted my supply of bubble wrap bought many many years ago - can anyone recommend somewhere cheap with good quality products please.

I've never noticed different qualities of bubblewrap - just do an ebay search with your width and length required and sort the results into cheapest first.

The questions that get the best answers are the questions that give most detail....

I still buy from eBay but I do find quality very variable. Sometimes you get beautifully thick bubble wrap that lasts, other times it’s thin and more like puffy cling film, so I tend to read reviews carefully.

I have a local packaging supplier near me that I use for bubble wrap, boxes, tape, etc.  I possibly pay slightly more but I am sure of the quality and they are happy with me buying smallish quantities so I don't have a house full of boxes and wrapping.

They sell regular bubble wrap but I've switched to all paper products on everything from bubble wrap to packaging tape. Customers tend to prefer it for obvious environmental reasons but also it's easier to dispose of at home, just add to paper recycling. There are others available and possibly cheaper but if I use it I'd get this.

  • Do what I did, put a wanted on Freecycle. I got enough good quality bubble wrap to last my lifetime, someone more than pleased to clear his garage out.
If you go down to the woods today you better not go alone.

I've just given away a load of bubble wrap and other packaging stuff that has been cluttering my garage for years.

I posted it for free on a few local Facebook sites and it was gone within a few days.

A man walked into a car showroom.
He said to the salesman, “My wife would like to talk to you about the Volkswagen Golf in the showroom window.”
Salesman said, “We haven't got a Volkswagen Golf in the showroom window.”
The man replied, “You have now mate".

I find the sheets of bubblewrap in the fruit and veg crates in supermarkets are the perfect size for small items. I ask the staff if they mind if I take some and they are usually perfectly happy for me to relieve them of it.
Haven't been doing that much of late but at some point that's how I'll restock :)
