More general advice, or points to consider...
1) How do you get your new customers? People tend to be very optimistic thinking if they flyer 100 houses that they'll get 35 jobs out of it etc
2) Make sure your charges/costs are considered properly... people both under estimate their costs (those flyers arent free) and over estimate how many jobs they'll do when they're also having to put 100 flyers through houses doors, move between sites etc.
On a previous powerwashing/car detailing business thread someone mentioned waste water issues... given patios will be done at customer's homes I guess that wouldnt be a problem but if other services are done at your own home it may be... search for the thread here/1 -
That might have been me, and I am not sure you're right about that: the OP would be providing a business service, and might be responsible for disposal of the waste water (ie not down the domestic drains). I've been browsing local window cleaner websites (sad I know) to see if anything is mentioned about this, and it's not.Sandtree said:On a previous powerwashing/car detailing business thread someone mentioned waste water issues... given patios will be done at customer's homes I guess that wouldnt be a problem but if other services are done at your own home it may be... search for the thread here/
Obviously if you're powerwashing patios it's likely to be a tad more difficult to collect the waste water than it is if you're cleaning cars or windows, but that doesn't mean you don't have to do it.Signature removed for peace of mind1
