Can’t get in touch with Travel Republic

Hi
i have an upcoming holiday to Turkey next month. I would like to cancel it but Travel Republic’s phone lines are permanently closed. And they are not answering emails or messages on Facebook. Please help!

have you paid in full?
based on the terms and conditions, would you be due anything back?
if not paid in full have you checked the cancelation charges? (can be up to 100%)
It is possible you may be in a travel or lose your money situation (there is currently no FCO guidance against travel to Turkey)

My understanding is that they have indeed turned off all telephone lines as they could not cope with incoming calls at the same time as contacting every future customer travelling 14 days ahead. I suspect at this stage you will be at 100% cancellation charges anyway so when they contact you 14 days before departure you can tell them your decision. If you tried to cancel earlier and have a copy of the email then use it to argue lower cancellation fees (or hope that Turkey joins the list of countries with advice against travel from the FCO, today it's rate is 22 per hundred thousand people and appears steady so unless something goes wrong Turkey won't be joining that list)
