Thanks NELSKI - I'll have a root around the website later.I'm back from my trip, the scan took 15 seconds. I stood in the contraption with my mouth clamped onto a 'thing' and the machine whizzed in front of my face, did a little buzzing and then moved away again. Now to wait for the report. It seems that I am being extremely irrated by everything and everyone today. Being told what to do doesn't sit easily with me and now every move in public is open to instruction. Not to mention vans double-parking in busy streets so traffic is all held up and then there's cyclists who ignore traffic lights, don't give signals and travel in bunches etc etc etc. 😕 I need to sit in a dark room for a while eating the lovely fresh Portuguese custard tart I bought myself!BELLA - my thoughts are with you and the family today. Difficult conversations are emotionally exhausting at the best of times.PS - here's the story of the beleagured Rest and Be Thankful road which is once again closed https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-53922077 for those who are interested or have ten minutes to fill.

Afternoon everyone
I got absolutely soaked this morning, pushing little one home up the hill. There were a few spots then the heavens opened! I managed to get her waterproof cover on in time - she kept peeking out and laughing at me! I was so wet I needed a whole new set of clothes. Now it's turned very windy - we could do with summer coming back!
Will probably have a walk down to mam and dads this afternoon depending on what's happening outside. I've cooked a big pan of sauce to make lasagne later.
Hope you all have a good day

Afternoon all, I'm a bit late today but I do have a good excuse, honest !We decided to take the bull by the horns and go out to give the car a good run, then went on to check on the van and I found another buddleia sapling, which I remembered to bring home this time. The big news is that I went to the meat van
I was feeling anxious as it would be the first time I've spoken to anyone face to face other than family or a couple of neighbours for over 5 months. I needn't have worried everything was all marked out for the obligatory 2 mtrs etc and we were masked ( no one else was ) However I made a fool of myself by being unable to use either of my cards contactless. We finally realised that because they haven't been used for such a long time they needed to have the pin number put in, great, but I had to send Mr Fix It back to the car to get my glasses !! Lovely meat man kept reassuring me that everything was fine but I did feel such an idiot especially as himself then used his own card. I bought some chicken portions, bacon and 2 large sticks of black pudding. I think I will probably go to the meat man again to top up the meat in the freezer instead of just our usual black pudding order as it's open air and no big queues, even if it's only to hear him call me " young lady " (I think I probably have a few years on him though
) and next time I will take my glasses.
I have nothing else planned for today except wipe down the kitchen and admire my newly labelled kilner jars which were done by DD yesterday. She also did my cracker box and both phone covers, which now have our mobile numbers on them ( cos we can never remember them ! )Bella hope the phone consult goes well today.Gers I was cold all day yesterday too and sat wrapped up in my blanket while TV viewing.TA hope it's good news re the lockdown.Hester hope your DD is feeling better soon.Redruby I am a bit jealous of your outing, please buy some extra cake for me too !taff we have a reclamation/junk yard near us but everything seems very expensive.Right enough waffling, you've all probably lost the will to live by nowTake care all, hugs to anyone in need.nan xxFailure is simply the opportunity to begin again, but this time more intelligently12 -
Heavy rain here up to an hour ago......wouldn't be sure that it won't be back.....it's only 14c here so didn't complain when DH lit the fire.
Will spend the rest of the day knitting, started DS2s sweater, it's a simple pattern and he is small so won't take long.
dp1......sorry you got wet, most uncomfortable.
Take care everyone, we have to have some nice weather in September.
