We just had offer from Santander, I’m SE, partner is PAYE. They asked for their own accountants certificate to be completed by my accountant, partners latest wage slip. No bank statements. No other documents apart from ID.
    Wow that sounds good.
We've done their accountants form, my broker sent it over on the day she applied so we'll see what else they want when they look at the application in a few days time.....
  • Different lender, but I also had to submit January, February and March statements due to the covid situation.
    Did you apply via HSBC?

    Did you apply via HSBC?

    Yes, HSBC via broker.

We are waiting on HSBC too 🤞 we put our full application in on 14/08/2020 and apparently it is with the underwriters. We are self employed. How are you getting on with yours?

Ours went in on the 10/8, so fairly similar time. There's been a lot of back and forth since my income is a bit complex, but otherwise there hasn't been anything alarming. Got an update from the broker yesterday saying it's going through final checks soon and he is expecting some sort of update next week. Hopefully you're not too far behind then either!

Yeah we have had a couple of questions from the HSBC mortgage advisor since the full application. We went direct in the end because broker couldn't get a look in via the online systems. Yes our situation is a bit complex too. Both self employed and hubby has 2 businesses- one LTD company and one partnership. I also work part time in the NHS. We are so nervous! Its good yours is in the final checks. Hope it all goes smoothly and you get the amount you are looking for! We are looking for 90% LTV so a bit worried we won't get it because the demand is so high for them.

My husband is employed, so they've just focused on me lol. Oh yeah, our LTV is under 80, but we're asking very close to our max. I'm sure you'll be alright. I just keep telling myself that if there were problems, someone would have said something already! I'm on the waiting for mortgage thread, so I'll keep you up to date there. 🙈

Thats great about your LTV! I think you'll have a good chance with that 😀 yes thats true- I have said the same thing to myself but then I swing to all the worry thoughts 🙈 I'm not usually bothered by things like this but we have sold our house and about to sign the deeds so its either get the mortgage or go into rented for a while! Not ideal with 2 kids in tow. Yes please keep me updated!

  • Does anybody know how the Santander timeline differs between applications by broker and direct applications?
