Done to death I know but... what extra docs did you have to provide for Santander (self employed)?

Applied for 85% mortgage via broker with Santander yesterday.  I'm employed and my partner is self employed. AIP has been agreed but can you tell me what extra documents have you had requested for a similar situation? Done the usual SA32, accountant reference,  3 months business and personal bank statements....

Many thanks

Ok thanks that's interesting.  Presumably they're just checking for consistency or that your work hasn't taken a hit after covid

Yeah, according to our broker they wanted to see the income was consistent during the early covid days. Although in my line of work the early months of the year are always a bit slower than the rest of the year, so I just explained that and no one questioned it further.

No, not yet! It's taken 15 working days so far.
  • We just had offer from Santander, I’m SE, partner is PAYE. They asked for their own accountants certificate to be completed by my accountant, partners latest wage slip. No bank statements. No other documents apart from ID.
